THREAD:129 ID:129Which voice is used in the demo?...Hello James,
Which voice are you using in the demo on the web page? Things have changed a little since I was programming using TTS. I used TextAssist, L&H TruVoice and the old DOS TTS from Creative Labs. I wrote software for children with severe multiple disabilities that used a lot of TTS.
I am at present looking into purchasing PoserSpeak, I have Mimic 3, but this program looks good. As always on a tight budget so voices and licensing is always a consideration.
Thank you,
Martin

THREAD:129 ID:130RE:Which voice is used in the demo?...There are a lot of demo movies on the PoserSpeak page. If you tell me which movie you are curious about i can tell you which voice it is. I also wrote this html page which demo's each voice for you. Plus you can buy voices directly from the page too. Hope it helps. Adding Computer Voices

THREAD:129 ID:131RE:RE:Which voice is used in the demo?...Hi
The voices that are used in the main page "Hello I'm Jessica . . ." "Hello I am Vic3 . . ." are quite understandable. Which voices are they?

THREAD:129 ID:132RE:RE:RE:Which voice is used in the demo?...That is Heather. Heather was a 30 day demo by Acapella. In the Summer Heather sold for $500.00 per license. By far the most expensive voice out there (and the biggest at over half a gig). Acapella recently changed their license agreement and price! Because of this change, the new Heather version is available in Beta only therefore may not work properly with PoserSpeak. The old Heather works great. But the newest version may not yet. As soon as i know more for sure, i will post info in the boards and on the main PoserSpeak page.

Here is a page i wrote which has all the SAPI5 compliant voices. All of these voices work great in PoserSpeak. Windows Voices. I will add more as they come in and pass testing.
Thanks for your question, i hope this answer helps.

James

P.S. My favorite voices are the NeoSpeech for clarity and affordability.

THREAD:129 ID:134The Acapella BrightSpeech Heather Beta and PoserSpeak...Here's a note i wrote Paul...

Hi Paul,
I am 100% caught up with the new Acapella change. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. I bought Heather from NextUp and fired her up. I can hear the wav file and generate a sound preview in PoserSpeak with Heather. I have no lip movements in Poser though. Looking at a debug output i see that Heather is not outputing the required information for PoserSpeak. You can generate the wav file but not the actualy lip movements. This is why the head moves but the mouth don't. Heather is outputing zeros instead of the SAPI5 codes called "viseme" and "phoneme" during sound output. I later installed TextAloud and there was no change in the output to PoserSpeak. I think since Heather is a beta version there's a chance that the full release version may be fully SAPI5 compliant. Time will tell. Since i am such a fan of Heather i will be looking forwarding to getting her new version going in PoserSpeak. Keep me informed should you hear anything and i you.

Hope this helps,
James
