Question with PoserSpeak 1.38...I've upgraded from previous version of PoserSpeak. However, I am having trouble getting the program to animate my model. I have V3 loaded in an empty workspace (only one frame), with the HeadMorphs and Expressions loaded. When I run PoserSpeak, everything seems to run okay. But when PoserSpeak closes, and goes back to Poser, there is still only 1 frame in the animation window...nothing has changed. Any help or insight would be appreciated. Thanks. |

RE:Slight Problem with PoserSpeak 1.38...I trust that the previous version did work okay for you? My guess is that the v3 morphs are not loaded properly. V3 morphs will lock from time-to-time. Please try animating a standard character besides V3 to make sure this isn't the case. I recommend the Poser floating head. It loads fast and is good for testing. Here's a step-by-step for animating... Animating Poser HeadIf it doesn't work on the standard head either then your upgrade must be corrupted in someway. Please try to install again and let me know the outcome regardless. If it is only a problem with Vicki, then re-applying the facial gestures should solve the problem for you. I hope this helps in someway, i have emailed you privately too to be sure you got my response and to give you my email address. I hope this helps, james |

Cartoon characters...I have been using Poserspeak a lot recently and if very good, but I have hit a error (or should I say a error on my machine at least) Version 1.38 no longer seems to animate the mouths of my cartoon characters. The head moves and I hear the sound , but no mouth or eye movements. I reinstalled 1.37 and everything went back to normal but as soon as 1.38 goes on its back to no mouth or eye movement. Any ideas James? |

RE:Cartoon characters...Is your strength slider set to 100%? drag it all the way to the right. Also, check the Morph tab to make sure you are routing properly. Keep me posted, i used 1.38 for a pretty detailed mouth animation a few weeks ago.

re cartoons...Checked all if I change from Barney or any other to say James or Micheal/Victoria it works fine just not with any of the cartoons. Everything moves apart from the mouth and eyes. I set the strength at 1 and 2 to see and the corners of the mouth move a little bit but thats all |

RE:re good coat of looking at...1 I opened Poser 6, started with an empty stage 2 loaded the Cartoon , Barney character from my library. 3 Selected the Head of Barney 4 Switched to the Face cam 5 Opened the Python Window under Window > Python Scripts 6 In Python Scripts I clicked the PoserSpeak button 7 the clicked PoserSpeak_RUN 8 PoserSpeak opens Status Window at the bottom says 14 morphs 9 In the animating prefs box in PoserSpeak everything except Limit 0-1 is checked, keys set to 1. See Screenshot 10 In the morph routing window, use template is set to P4, always is not checked, i went with the default morphs it guessed. screenshot 2 shows what i have. 11 I hit the save button in PoserSpeak. progress bar grows and PoserSpeak closes and i go back into Poser. 12 I press the play button in the bottom and Barney starts talking as expected. Basically, Barney works as expected in Poser. I render a test movie in avi format to see it in realtime. After all this, i decide i want a smoother mouth animation and making sure Barney's head is still selected, i launch PoserSpeak again, this time i change the "key" scroll window from 1 to 3. I press Save and PoserSpeak exits and returns to Poser. Because i did not clear my Poser keyframes before i started PoserSpeak, i set the total frames in my Poser timeline from 87 to 1 (Yes, this actually deletes the new mouth animations PoserSpeak just put in). Then i press the "Last Recording" Button underneath "PoserSpeak RUN". Now my animation is back and my timeframe again has 87 frames. Here is a link to the new animation i made in Poser with barney. Barney AVI Please try what i just explained in PoserSpeak and see if you get the same result, if not, please send screenshots of what is different. I hope this helps in someway. If not, PoserSpeak has one more trick, the debugger... more on that later if needed. |

re mouth...James the screenshot did it. I had been doing all the step as you had written, what was wrong 'Use template' had that set for P6 rather than P4, oops I do feel such a fool now. I have been using P6 chararters a lot just forgot to set it back to P4 doh thanks for sending time on this thanks avi |

RE:re mouth...horray! i was hoping it was something like that. thanks for getting back with me. The Dog is great BTW! I don't have the dog, but i think you can route his ears too just like i did with the cat. Try setting the Brow controls in the Morph Window to his ears. |
