The installation tab contains your program license information as well as your Poser configuration settings.
License
Your program comes with a temporary 30 day working license. You have 30 days from the time you run PoserSpeak to license it under your name. Your license key and registration information are sent to you via email after your payment is received. Do not give out your license key, it can make your software invalid or prevent you from upgrading or reinstalling in the future.
When you first launch PoserSpeak you will be required to enter a license. If you have already received your license, enter the registered named and the numerical passcode you received in the boxes provided and press the Register button. PoserSpeak will attempt to register itself with the information you provided. If successful, the program will work instantly, there is no need to restart the program or your computer.
If you have not received your license, press the "Temp License" button to activate the program for 30 days. You can only activate the program once on your machine. If you have not received your license code within 48 hours of purchase, email 3dtrue.com immediately or contact the website where you purchased PoserSpeak. Most cases, buyers should receive their license within 8 hours of purchase.
PoserSpeak user's running version 1.2 or greater can use the "Check for Updates" button in PoserSpeak to check for, and install upgrades available from the website.
Poser Installations
Use this section to specify up to three Poser installations. This step is required before you can use PoserSpeak. PoserSpeak works with Poser4, Poser5 and Poser6. You can add and of your Poser installs by clicking the browse button and selecting the Poser.exe from your computer. Press the "Save Preferences" button to save your changes. If you add a version of Poser that was not there before, you need to add a Python button to that installation. The order of the install folders is not important.
Because you launch PoserSpeak inside Poser, we have to install a Python menu button. Do this in the pulldown menu to the right of the Poser install number you want to edit. Select a slot from the pulldown (1-10) to add your new button. By default, Poser comes with two button slots empty (three dots means empty "..."). We recommend adding PoserSpeak to one of these empty slots (This is usually slot 8 and 9). Select the slot number to add and hit the "Save Preferences" button.
If you do not want to replace any of your python buttons but have another Python button file you want to add PoserSpeak to manually you may do so. Open the file you want to add PoserSpeak to and add the following line replacing the Button number with the one you want.
poser.DefineScriptButton(8, ":Runtime:libraries:Python:PoserSpeak:poserspeak_menu.py", "PoserSpeak")
